Children's Choir

The Village Temple Children’s Choir: We Support Each Other

Led by Anita Hollander, the children's choir meets on Tuesdays from 6:00 - 7:00 pm in  the Sanctuary. The choir sings at Village Temple family services, High Holy Day Children's Services at Cooper Union, Purimshpiel, Thanksgiving Interfaith Service at the Fifth Avenue Presbytarian Church, and many other holiday events at The Village Temple and around the Village. The repertoire is both Hebrew and English, with some original songs written expressly for the choir. Many of these songs are featured on the CD, The Village Temple Children's Choir: Holidays & Holy Days (available from the Temple Office). A joy and love of singing is more important than a great voice in this choir. What's really important is learning to support each other and work together as a group - and the result seems to be unbridled FUN!

Students aged 5-17 are welcome. Come join us on a Tuesday!

"These kids brought a whole new meaning to the word ruach, as well as great gobs of Joy and Hope, to an entire community of people. That's quite a feat!!!" [Temple member]

"The choir is really fun. It is a great experience because you get to meet lots of cool people and sing in front of lots of different audiences. And Anita is the best!" [Danyel B, Choir member]
