Our Community
The Village Temple is more than just a synagogue, it is a community. We are of community of mothers, fathers, grandparents, children, young adults, older adults, singles, couples, gay, lesbian and straight, multi-racial families, interfaith families, Jews by birth and Jews by choice. We are a community of visual and performing artists, filmmakers, writers, lawyers, doctors, architects, businessmen/women, teachers, students, retirees and much more. We are a community of believers and skeptics and those somewhere in the middle.
We are a community committed to actively welcoming all and building a vibrant, inclusive and diverse synagogue community. We embrace the mitzvah of ahavat ger, the commandment to "love the stranger," and thus we welcome those not yet connected to our Jewish community into our congregation.
