Disaster Relief

Dear VT family,

You are no doubt aware about the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti this week. It is too soon to know the exact number of the people affected, but according to the Red Cross as many as three million people are impacted. Our reform community has a long history of Gemilut Chasadim, reaching out to those in need, especially when natural disasters devastate communities around this world. Your care and generosity at this pivotal time will enable us to play a role in recovery efforts and bring healing and hope to those affected by this quake.

The Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) and American Jewish World Service (AJWS) have both established Haiti Disaster Relief Funds. The links to these funds are below. There are many other relief funds, as well. Whereever you choose to donate, your generosity will be appreciated.
