Diversity & Inclusion

At The Village Temple, we celebrate our diversity and strive to be an inclusive and welcoming congregation. Our doors are open to all who choose to worship with us -- adults, children; individuals, couples, families; gay, lesbian and straight; multi-racial families; abled and disabled; Jews by birth and by choice and non-Jewish partners and spouses. As a community of worship, we are one family -- powerfully bound together when we join our voices every week in prayer and song.

Our teachers in the Religious School are provided with staff development to ensure that diversity is handled respectfully and appropriately throughout the curriculum. We also offer programming that is reflective of our diversity. If you are interested in learning more about diversity at the Village Temple, please call the Temple Office at 212-674-2340 and make an appointment to meet with Rabbi Chava Koster.
