Shalom!
Welcome to The Village Temple Religious School's webpage!
Our school has a long and proud history, but that is not enough! As a community of learners we continuously advance the ways in which we approach learning and make the process of Talmud Torah, the learning and teaching of Judaism, vital and inspirational.
The goal of the Village Temple Religious School is to provide a strong foundation and the necessary skills upon which our children can develop and mature as knowledgeable Jews. We pass on the joy and traditions of Judaism, as well as challenge students' minds with the facts of the Jewish universe.
Our Pre-K through 12th Grade Curriculum addresses such subjects as Jewish History, Customs and Ceremonies, Holidays, Holocaust, Israel, Zionism, Hebrew, Bible, Prayer and Reform Judaism. A spiral curriculum allows us to revisit many of the same topics that are taught throughout the school, but specific age-appropriate concepts are covered in each grade. Learning activities are geared towards the cognitive and developmental level of the students at their age.
We offer classes on weekdays or Sundays. Please consult our Registration Forms or School Calendar for detailed information on our schedules. Make sure you save the dates for all celebrations and programs that the Village Temple offers throughout the year. You can find all upcoming congregational events listed in the online calendar.
As we welcome all new and returning students please remember that I am always available for any parent, student or teacher who has any question or concern about our educational program.
I am looking forward to seeing all of you in September!
Have a refreshing and memorable summer!
Alex Tansky
