Our first project this year is an exploration of a Birkat Bayit, a home blessing. This popular piece of Judaica can be found in all styles with various texts. Together we will look at the texts, sources, and write our own. In February we will learn watercolor painting with member artist, Judy Schiff. In April we will add the final touch of calligraphy, with Ayelet Pearl, who will also teach us some sofrut, the practice of scribal calligraphy.
